All-Natural Laundry Stain Remover: Put to the Test

All-Natural Laundry Stain Remover: Put to the Test

It never fails - you're rushing to work and you accidentally spill your coffee on your white silky shirt; you leave your kids in the other room for just under a minute and hear silence, you know that they spilled juice all over the rug; then you have your dinner parties where there's always that one person who drank too much and ends up spilling red wine on your favourite piece of furniture.

With dogs, kids, friends and everyday tasks, a few spills are a part of life and there's just no way around it. See how Plantish's Stain Remover works.

For this experiment, I've chosen to use our Bird of Paradise Swedish Sponge Cloth:

I spilled some freshly brewed coffee:

Then I let it sit for around 2 to 3 minutes:

While I waited...

  1. Find a bowl or a bucket to use
  2. Fill the bowl or bucket with lukewarm water. I find that warm water helps with removal better than cold water
  3. Dip stain remover stick or block into the water
  4. Start scrubbing on the stained item or surface

Voila! After dipping and scrubbing a few times, the stain eventually disappeared.

If you're on the hunt for an excellent all-natural stain remover, I highly suggest trying out Plantish's. Made with simple ingredients: coconut oil (sodium cocoate) and washing soda (sodium carbonate), the stain remover and/or block is eco-friendly and safe, containing no harsh chemicals with ingredients readily found around your house.
